Colored/Printed Denim: 4 ways for the Fall

Welcome Back to my pre-fall denim looks I hope you enjoyed my first post on the denim on denim trend and if you did i know you will love this next hot look. Colored or Printed denim is becoming super popular this fall whether its denim jeans with painted roses, denim with printed patch work or or paint splattered denim (like pictured above & below). So I am a believer in simplicity with a pop meaning that your outfits can be simple in silhouette or color with just something to spice the look up or the other way around, you can have a wear a loud color but with a simple silhouette and simple accessories or a simple silhouette with a loud pop of color on some area of the outfit. With the colored or printed denim its important to remember that its still denim so can be work with a lot but due to the pop of color or bold print on the denim the rest of the outfit can be subtle. with this look I am posting today I have these super dope splattered dyed high waist shorts that are blue denim with turquoise and fuchsia splattered dye. I paired the shorts with all black to give it a cool edge as well as to contrast with the loud colors very biker chic! this look does not have to be shorts at all denim pants are perfect for the same look (also for the winter months a black pair of thigh high knit socks or knit leggings under the shorts would be perfect with this look)

Denim on Denim: 4 ways for the Fall

To kick off my four fall denim looks is denim on denim! The denim on denim trend has been super popular lately, seeing the trend on your favorite celebrities from Kim kardashian, Rihanna & the queen bey Beyonce herself the denim on denim look is one of the hottest "basic" looks of the season. The best part of this look is that it doesn't take a lot of money to pull off and you can mix and match different washes of denim as long as they blend well. You can also add a white top to the mix to break up the denim like i've done with the outfit posted here. So for detail I got a vintage 1980's high waist acid wash skirt [it kind of reminded me of Thelma & Louise lol] it was midi length but didn't fit tight so I cut it and to add extra edge to it i cut it up both sides, the top is a plain men's tank top knotted in the back the denim jacket is a vintage GAP brand jacket that I threw over like a cape for the fall the denim jacket and skirt don't match because the jacket is a light wash blue jean and the skirt is acid wash but they blend together well as opposed to the acid wash skirt with a darker wash denim top. As far as styling goes I chose to keep this look basic in accessories I paired it with these fab cut out boots in nude to balance the lightness of the denim and cute coral snakeskin clutch bag for a pop of color all simple and basic but still fashion forward
